Carlos III Pillar 8 Reales 1767 G-P, KM18, Cal-93, XF Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC. Nice on the pillar side albeit with a couple of scratches near the date. The shield side unflawed but somewhat softly struck. 120,700 pieces minted. Overall, a desirable example of the third rarest date of this series, seldom available in better than VF grade. The Haberthuer example, in choice VF condition, was a quite remarkable example. Ex. Freeman Craig (11/1984 lot 247 for $1,150, when he described it as the finest handled by him up to that time). From The Isaac Rudman Collection of Guatemala Coins
