Republic gold 4 Pesos 1868-R, KM187, Fr-43. MS61 NGC. 778 pieces minted. Types as previous. Brilliant and in wonderful condition for this date, and also a worthy specimen for the type. Although not as elusive as the 1866, the 1868 date is also very rare, missing altogether from the Haberthuer collection while the Eliasberg specimen (ANR 4/2005, lot 3051 for $2,400) was only XF40.
