Republic gold 16 Pesos 1867-R, KM188, Fr-39. AU55 NGC. 467 pieces minted. Types as previous. Good strike, much original brilliance and a very attractive piece. When offering the present coin, Freeman Craig described it as Much luster and somewhat prooflike; attractive and with nearly perfect rims and edges, indeed an accurate description of a very flashy specimen. A very rare date with about 12 confirmed examples, this being among the finest known. Ex.
