Ferdinand VI Pillar 8 Reales 1754/3 Mo-MM/MF, Type as KM104.2, XF Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC. Very faint surface hairlines, but a nice strike and appealing tone. Crowns differ on the pillars. The overdate very clear and the overassayer faint but discernible. Unlisted in KM, and very rare, although Calbeto (No. 769) plates a coin from the same pair of dies (and correctly gives it the RR rating). Almost all of the 1754/3 recorded overdates have been of the MF assayer and the KM 104.1 type (with crowns alike on the pillars). An important and rare variety of the KM104.2 subtype. From The Isaac Rudman Collection of Guatemala Coins
