George V Waitangi Proof Crown 1935, KM6, PR65 PCGS. A beautiful example from a mintage of a mere 468 pieces. Lightly toned overall, in hand the reflective fields play nicely against softly frosted devices. A few wispy marks blend into the tone. These Crowns were struck in the King's Jubilee year to commemorate the 1840 Treaty of Waitangi, whereby the Maori gained the rights of British subjects and were recognized to have ownership of their lands.
