Danzig. Johann Casimir gold 4 Ducat ND (1648-68), KM44, Fr-29, Dutkowski/Suchanek-343, AU58 NGC. A beautiful and very rare Danzig issue. Minor striking weakness in the centers detracts little from the overall design. Considerable luster remains in protected areas and the high points display very little evidence of circulation. A number of small nicks and abrasions are present but are not overly distracting. Overall, an exceptionally preserved specimen and a very scarce opportunity for the serious collector of Polish multiple-ducat issues.From the collection of Donald E.
