Peter I Novodel Poltina (1/2 Rouble) (cyrillic 1705), Kadashevsky mint, Bitkin-553 (R2), AU Details, Harshly Cleaned, NGC. Superbly struck, with minor contact marks. This piece has obviously been cleaned, probably by dipping, but we think calling it harshly cleaned is a bit strong. The surfaces have not been scoured with abrasive cleaners and some of the original prooflike appearance is remaining. Cleaned, but not destroyed.
