Alexander I Proof Rouble 1816 СПБ-MФ, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-113, KM-C130, Proof 65 NGC. This is an absolutely spectacular example of an Alexander I Rouble. A wonderful cameo appearance with nicely frosted devices contrasting sharply with the deeply mirrored fields. The strike is superb and the surfaces free of significant imperfections. Missing from almost all major collections in Proof, this issue is exceedingly rare. This is the only Proof certified of this date by either NGC, or PCGS and we can find no other listed example to reference.From The Formosa Collection
