Nicholas I silver Medal Construction of the Blagoveschensk Bridge Over Neva 1850, original by A. Klepikov & A. Lyalin, Diakov-594.1 (R2), Smirnov-549, 160.25g, 75mm, prooflike AU. Obv. Double-headed eagle flying over the bridge. Rev. Minerva and Hercules cross water flowing from the urn of a river goddess. The strike is superb, with fully prooflike fields, attractive gray and blue patina, and minor contact marks on both sides. Very rare in silver.
