Frederick I copper Plate Money 4 Daler S.M. 1724-FRS , KM-PM74, AAH-187, VF. Because of a shortage of silver and gold, and large deposits of copper, the Kingdom of Sweden decided to replace the gold & silver coinage with large pieces of official copper plate money. After demonetization in the late 1700's, large quantities of these pieces were often used as ballast in the holds of sailing ships.
