Imam Ahmad gold Riyal with Counterstamp AH1374 (1955), KM-YG17.1, Fr-8, MS62 NGC. Lustrous and sharply detailed. The legends are a bit difficult in places due to a double strike. These issues were struck in gold from the dies for the silver Riyals and most bear an Arabic 4 stamp (Ƹ) to indicate their equivalent value at 4 Sovereigns. Very scarce, particularly in this level of preservation, this date is unlisted in KM for the countermarked variety.
