LOWER DANUBE. Balkan Tribes. Ca. 3rd-2nd century BC. AR drachm (18mm, 9h). NGC VF. Imitating Alexander III the Great of Macedon, uncertain mint in northwest Asia Minor. Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / AΛEΛA, Zeus seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on stool, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; complicated monogram in left field, Δ below strut.
