Canada Bank of Canada $100 1954 BC-35a "Devil's Face" PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Incredible technical features appear on both sides of this popular type. There is only one prefix available (A/J) for this first series of Queen Elizabeth II $100 notes. Across the two signature varieties, about 2.4 million were produced and released, but were mostly redeemed in 1956 due to the public discovering a peculiar "Devil's Face" design in the Queen's hair. The Bank of Canada agreed that the design should be freshened a bit, and a modified hair design notes were released shortly thereafter. https://currency.ha.com/itm/world-currency/canada-bank-of-canada-100-1954-bc-35a-devil-s-face-pmg-gem-uncirculated-66-epq/a/4039-25074.s?type=DA-DMC-CoinArchivesCurrency-WorldPaperMoney-4039-10202022 HID08706262019 © 2022 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
