Central African Republic Banque des Etats de l'Afrique Centrale 5000 Francs ND (1979) Pick 7 PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. A scarce issue which was issued briefly during the Empire's short lifespan. Other than the country title change, this type is identical to the series issued beforehand, for the Central African Republic. This lovely example is hallmarked by an image of President Bokassa who professed himself president for life in 1972, and then emperor in 1976.
