East Africa East African Currency Board 20 Florins = 2 Pounds 1.5.1920 Pick 11 PMG About Uncirculated 55. Any East African Currency Board note denominated in Florins is a prize, as so few exist to be enjoyed today. A mere four examples are graded by PMG at the time of cataloging, and this example is tied with one other for the highest grade. The Currency Board adopted the Shillings denomination scheme for notes dated 1921, which indicates that this Florin series was quite short lived. One of only a few known in private hands and an iconic African and British Commonwealth type note. PMG has noted staple holes and minor stains lightened.
