European Union Euro Banknote Design Exhibition 100 Units ND (1996) Inge Madle Design Exhibition PMG Holdered. This design was one of the entries in the 1996 Euro Banknote Design Exhibition by the European Central Bank (ECB). Designed by Inge Madle and printed by Joh. Enschedé, the now-obsolete Dutch banknote printer. The note is uniface and printed on banknote paper, using offset and intaglio printing, which suggests a substantial amount of work done by the printer. The collection of Euro banknotes is somewhat monotonous, with essentially the same design available for 20 years, and collectors focusing on minor varieties such as signatures, serial number prefixes and printers' letters.
