Great Britain Bank of England 10 Shillings ND (1914) Pick 346 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. A small change emergency example issued in 1914 featuring King George V and signed by John Bradbury. With the anticipation of an impending War, the Treasury was called upon to relieve cash shortages. The Bank of England was circumvented as the Treasury had the power to issue currency without it being backed by gold. Tough in higher grades, and the best example we have offered to date. https://currency.ha.com/itm/world-currency/great-britain-bank-of-england-10-shillings-nd-1914-pick-346-pmg-choice-uncirculated-64/a/4039-25190.s?type=DA-DMC-CoinArchivesCurrency-WorldPaperMoney-4039-10202022 HID08706262019 © 2022 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
