Israel Bank Leumi Le-Israel B.M. 5 Pounds ND (9.6.1952) Pick 21p Proof PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ. The newly established Bank Leumi le-Israel B.M. absorbed the Anglo Palestine Bank in 1951. Notes are mostly the same as the preceding issue, except for the removal of English and Arabic from the Face of the design, and for the currency name as "Palestine Pound" changed to "Israel Pound". Printer's annotations, and cancelled with two punch holes. This Proof, which serves as the plate illustration on page 29 in Dvir's new book, is currently believed to be one of only two known based on recent research.
