Israel Bank of Israel 500 Pruta 1955 / 5715 Pick 24s Approval Specimen PMG Choice Very Fine 35. A spectacular, lowest denomination from the first series printed by TDLR, for the Bank of Israel. A vignette of an ancient Synagogue is displayed on the front. Geometric designs created with deep red inks contribute to the excellent visual on the back of this scarce Specimen. Printer's annotations reading "Duplicate Approved Proof 28.1.55" along the top margin, and a "Proof No. 938/52" in the bottom left margin indicate this design was approved for production. Unique with the "Duplicate Approved Proof 28.1.55" annotation and handwritten approval signature, this Specimen appears on page 92 in the 2022 Dvir catalog.
