A lovely landscape image of the Edom mountains is depicted on this appealing Specimen boasting control number 1, noted bottom left. This Specimen is the plate note on page 101 in the 2022 Dvir book on the subject, which mentions the "missing" diagonal SPECIMEN overprint. Such missing overprints are considered errors in the Guidebook of Coins, Banknotes, and Tokens of Israel by Asher. Two red TDLR oval stamps are seen on both the front and the back, and previous mounting is mentioned.
