Israel Bank of Israel 5 Lirot 1958 / 5718 Pick 31pp1; 31pp2 Front and Back Progressive Proofs PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ; Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. An interesting pair of Front and Back Progressive Proofs that include plate modification illustrations. A control Proof number is seen to the bottom left of each example, with hand drawn, magnified depictions of updated, anti-counterfeiting secret mark locations added in the margins. These two Proofs appear as plate illustrations on pages 139 and 141 of the new 2022 Dvir catalog. We believe that there are 2-3 existing examples of both the face and the back Progressive Proofs based on research conducted by Mr. Dvir.
