Israel Bank of Israel 10 Lirot ND (1958 / 5718) Pick 32pp1; 32pp2 Front and Back Progressive Proof PMG Choice Uncirculated 63; Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Stunning depictions of a scientist and a Hebrew scroll grace this interesting Progressive proof set with Western and Hebrew text. PMG mentions a paper pull on the Front Proof and plate modification illustrations. The hand-drawn modifications represent future placement of the hidden security features to be utilized during the printing process. the usual numeric printer's annotations can be seen on the bottom right corners. Based on recent investigations, there appear to be two or three examples of both the Front and Back Progressive Proofs with these modification annotations. These two Progressive Proofs appear as the plate notes on pages 142 and 144 in Raphael Dvir's new book.
