Israel Bank of Israel 10 Lirot 1958 / 5718 Pick 32as Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. A charming Specimen that displays vibrant colors and spectacular embossing. This beautiful example depicts a scientist with a microscope on the front, while a vignette of the Dead Sea scroll graces the back. A diagonal Cancelled perforation is present which seems to be a trial marking, as Specimen from this series are usually seen with the diagonal Specimen overprint and TDLR oval stamps. This type of cancellation was used during the decision making process on how to mark Specimens and we believe it only exists on two examples of the 10 Lirot note at present. This note was used as the plate note on page 165 in the 2022 Raphael Dvir catalog.
