Mexico Banco Mercantil De Veracruz 10 Pesos ND (1898) Pick S438p1; S438p2 M529p Front and Back Proofs PMG Choice Uncirculated 63; Choice Uncirculated 64. This 1898 Ten Pesos is a one year type and is quite scarce regardless of its format. A completely new design for this denomination is dated 1900, which cut short the issuance and circulation of the 1898 dated notes. Minor mountain remnants are seen on the back of the face side, and an internal split is mentioned on the back side proof. Hole punched cancellations and red overprints are mentioned for accuracy.
