Palestine Currency Board 1 Pound 26.3.1943 Pick Unlisted Front and Back Proofs PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ; Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. Proposed issue for a World War II emergency £1, 26 March 1943, no serial numbers, pink-red and pale lilac, value at centre and at each corner, signatures of Ezechiel, Boyd, Caine and Caulcutt, the note on large format paper (Pick unrecorded, Banknote Book unrecorded, Dabbah p.383) This is the Dabbah plate note. This £1 a unique 'approval proof' printed on large format paper. Unique in this uniface format. There are in total six examples of different varieties for the £1 issue of 1943.
