Trinidad & Tobago Canadian Bank of Commerce 20 Dollars 1.3.1921 Pick S112a PMG Very Fine 25. The second Canadian Bank of Commerce example offered in today's sale issued in The Port of Spain for Trinidad & Tobago. What an offering indeed! The appeal of this high denomination is two-fold: undeniably stunning designs and it being truly rare. On both the Front and the Back this note boasts beautiful allegorical vignettes reminiscent of the time. Although this private Bank would have issued the same designed series of currency elsewhere in the Caribbean, one notices "Trinidad" on either side of this $20. The low serial number further reinforces the small number of issuance for this denomination. We have been unable to find any price history for this variety in fully issued form. Suffice to say, this will be the first time we have offered this type and it is the lone graded example on the PMG Population Report.
