Republic Counterstamped gold 1/2 Escudo ND (1849-57), KM80, AU55 NGC. Type VI counterstamp of lion within circle. Struck upon 1846 CR-JB 1/2 Escudo of the Central American Republic. Undated, but known to have been produced 1849-1857. Both host coin and the counterstamp exhibit very little wear.
