Christian V silver Coronation Medal 1671, Gallster-199, North I, 29, VF. A gorgeous example of the type and high-end for the grade with moderate wear atop problem-free, soft gray surfaces. Notable realizations for the type include an example cataloged as near extremely fine with some damage at Baldwin's that hammered for £300 in May of 2012 as well as an AU that realized over $1050 in a November 2012 Stack's auction. Gold strikings are also known, but are exceedingly rare.
