Cnut (1016-35) Penny c.1017-23, London mint, Brihtmær as moneyer, S-1157, North-781, MS61 NGC. + CNVT REX ΛNGLΘR, crowned bust left within quatrefoil / + BRI | HTM | ÆR ΘN | LVND, voided long cross with crescent ends over quatrefoil with pellet at each apex. A somewhat smaller specimen than generally seen, with uneven toning between the two sides. The devices are nicely struck up.
