Cnut (1016-35) Penny c.1017-23, London mint, Eadnoth as moneyer, S-1157, North-781, AU Details (Peckmarked) NGC. + CNVT REX ΛNGLORV, crowned bust left within quatrefoil / + EΛD | NΘĐ | ΘN LV | NDEN, voided long cross with crescent ends over quatrefoil with pellet at each apex. An attractive found specimen, apparently recently and professionally cleaned, with lightly porous surfaces and the full module entirely on-flan. A couple of peckmarks are visible on the reverse, one of which cut a gouge from the surface of the coin.
