George III gilt pattern "Spade" Guinea 1791, by C.H. Küchler, restrike, plain edge, copper gilt version of WR-107 (which in gold is R7), inverted incuse reverse design, uncertified, Brilliant Proof and quite choice with minor hairlines on the reflective mirrored surface of the obverse, the reverse entirely satiny and, as Wilson & Rasmussen state, made from an unfinished punch. (If you are viewing only on the Internet, most of the "lines" seen on the obverse are raised, or mint caused.) Very rare. Clearly this was made for collectors, as the original in gold is so rare as to be uncollectible. A fascinating piece!
