Felipe V cob gold 2 Escudos ND (1714), KM53.2, UNC. Very lustrous and pleasant. The date is not visible, but is most likely 1714. The style indicates a coin from the 1715 Plate Fleet, and all the 2 Escudos on the fleet were dated 1714. The "II" denomination is bold to the right of the shield. To the left, the "O" is visible, but the assayer is not. The shield and cross are boldly detailed. Weight is 5.88 gm. Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $2500 in VF, $3500 in EF.
