Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Denarius (16.5mm, 3.06 g, 6h). "Travel series" issue ("Provinces cycle") – Restitutor type. Rome mint. Struck circa AD 130-133. Laureate head left / Hadrian standing right, holding volumen, about to raise Africa who is kneeling right, holding grain ears and wearing elephant skin headdress; between them, two upright stalks of grain. RIC II.3 1572; RSC 1230. Toned. Near VF. Rare.
