John V Palaeologus, with Anna of Savoy (Regent). 1341-1391. AV Hyperpyron (24mm, 4.85 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck 1341-1347. Anna, holding trilobate scepter and placing hand on breast, standing facing, and John, holding akakia and cruciform scepter, standing facing; Γ to left / Andronicus III kneeling right, being blessed by Christ standing left. DOC 943; PCPC 190 (sigla 2) (Andronicus); SB 2466 (Andronicus). Somewhat irregular flan, flan crack, scratches. VF.
