By Raymond Gayrard. Dually dated 1702 and 1830, but struck circa 1889. Venus seated left before mirror held up by one eros, arranging herself while second eros assists with drawing jewels from jewel box; GAYRARD F. to left; MANUFACTURES DES ST. GOBAIN/CHAUNY ET CIREY in two lines in exergue / ÉTABLIE/EN 1702/RECONSTITUÉE/EN SOCIÉTÉ/ANONYME/PAR ORDONNANCE/ROYALE/DU 17 FÉVRIER/1830 in nine lines; all within olive wreath.
