MYSIA, Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 12.40 g, 11h). Cistophoric standard. Di–, prytaneis. Struck circa 85-76 BC. Cista mystica, from which serpent emerges, within ivy wreath / Two serpents entwined around bow and bowcase; above, ΔI above monogram (=prytaneis) within wreath; civic monogram to left, serpent-entwined thyrsos to right. Kleiner, Hoard 32; SNG BN 1734–5. Iridescent tone, underlying luster. Good VF.
