SELEUKID EMPIRE. Antiochos III 'the Great'. 222-187 BC. AR Tetradrachm (25.9mm, 16.92 g, 1h). Alexandrine types struck in the name of Antiochos. Susa mint. Struck 223-222 BC (First reign, before Molon). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monogram in left field and below throne. SC 1205; ESM 379; HGC 9, 445. Lightly toned, light marks and scratches, struck from a worn obverse die. VF. Rare.
