IONIA, Smyrna. Gaius (Caligula), with Drusilla. AD 37-41. Æ (19mm, 5.87 g, 11h). Aviola, proconsul, and Menophanes, magistrate. Struck circa AD 37-38. Laureate head right / Drusilla as Persephone seated left, holding poppies, grain ears, and scepter. Klose XXVIII; RPC I 2472; SNG Copenhagen 1343. Black patina, light smoothing, minor pitting. Good VF.
