ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 34 mm, 16.74 g, 12 h), 184-183. Head of Athena to right, wearing triple-crested helmet decorated with Pegasos to right. Rev. A-ΘΕ Owl standing to right on overturned amphora, head facing; to left, monogram of XM; to right, monogram and two serpents coiled to right; all within olive wreath. Thompson 83. Well centered on a full flan. Porous, and owl's head weakly struck, otherwise, good very fine.
