KINGS OF ELYMAIS. Kamnaskires II Nikephoros, circa 147-139 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 3.83 g, 12 h), Susa, dated Seleukid ΗΣ (208) = 105/4. Diademed head of Kamnaskires II to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΚΑΜΝΑΣΚΙΡΟΥ / HΣ Youthful god (Belos or Apollo) seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in right hand and bow in left. Van't Haaff Type 2.1, Subtype 2-1. Extremely rare! Only very few examples known. Struck from slightly worn dies, the obverse with minor die-shift, otherwise, very fine.
