Hyperpyron (Gold, 30 mm, 4.38 g, 6 h), Reform coinage, Constantinople, 1092-1118. + KE BO-HΘEI / IC - XC Christ seated facing, nimbate, raising right hand in benediction and holding Gospels in his left. Rev. A/ΛE/ΞIΩ / ΔEC/ΠO/TΗ - TΩ / KO/MNH/NΩ Alexius standing facing, crowned, wearing jewelled robes and holding labarum in right hand and globus cruciger in left; above, manus Dei; on the chlamys border, six pellets. DOC 20. SB 1913. Flattened, and graffito, otherwise, good very fine.
