Richard III (1483-1485), Type 2b, Groat, London, reading RICARD, crowned bust facing, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, long cross and pellets, 3.09g, 8h, m.m. BH2 (North 1679; Spink 2156), some minor surface faults to face, otherwise toned with occasionaly striking softness, fine to very fine in parts, the iconic 'Boar's head' mint mark beautifully clear in reverse legend which is so often clipped small, rare and desirable thus.
