Philip and Mary (1554-1558), Shilling, 1554, Tower, full titles, busts vis-a-vis, crown above, dividing date, rev. crowned and garnished shield dividing value, reads POSVIMVS and ADIVTOREM, 6.05g, 11h (North 1967; Spink 2500), a slightly irregular flan for issue, otherwise evenly circulated and lightly toned, the portraits nicely defined for this often adulterated type, strictly fine to good fine in parts, but considerably above average for examples usually encountered in commerce.
