NGC MS64 | George II (1727-1760), LIMA Crown, 1746 DECIMO NONO, GEORGIUS · II · DEI · GRATIA · older laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev M·B·F·ET·H·REX·F·D·B· ET·L·D·S·R·I· A·T·ET·E·, crowned shields cruciform, angles plain, ten strings to harp, edge with large lettering tightly spaced with gaps downwards, 30.10g, 6h (ESC 125; Bull 1668; Spink 3689), light gunmetal cabinet tone accentuated by colourful flares in recesses, a touch of rub to hair as usually encountered for type, otherwise extremely fine, the reverse especially so, a handsome and historic issue, in NGC holder, graded MS64 (Cert. #6295560-001).
