Obverse with military portrait of Bolivar facing right inside legend SIMON BOLIVAR LIBERTADOR DE COLOMBIA Y DEL PERU .; reverse with Cerro de Potosí with city at base and radiant sunface above within legend POTOSI MANIFIESTA SU GRATITUD AL GENIO DE LA LIBERTAD . 1825. Die-variety with vertical sun ray under T of GRATITUD (incorrectly labeled by NGC as Fonrobert-9465, which is another variety). Attractively toned with sharp details and nice contrast, a few heavier scratches on reverse but also with hairlines on obverse, none of which detract from the patent beauty of this piece without magnification.
