Bold UNC with bright silvery color against light brassy background. Adams' tag says "silver wash or plate" but XRF shows the wash is actually tin, about which the tag goes on to accurately assert "lovely effect on rev." XRF: 46.21% copper, 42.07% zinc, 7.46% tin, 3.11% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag), the Fernando Chao Collection, and the Jorge Ferrari Collection.
