Mexico City, Mexico, cob 4 reales, 1655 (P), cocooned in coral (as found). S-M19; KM-38; Cal-1073. 13.60 grams total. Round and apparently solid flan with the entire cross side covered in gray-white coral that extends to about a third of the obverse, outside of which is a clear mintmark oM and 655 of date, the exposed metal darkly toned. Recovered from: Maravillas, sunk in 1656 off Grand Bahama Island.
