Encrusted clump of three Spanish colonial 8 reales, probably all busts of Mexico City, Mexico, Charles III. 73.84 grams total. Three fairly solid coins, one offset from the other two sandwiched together, all darkly toned and encrusted (mostly orange but some traces of green), the "top" coin with barely visible date that looks like 1782 or 1783, a very stable display. Recovered from: Cazador, sunk in 1784 off New Orleans, Louisiana.
Estimate: $400 - $600
