Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales Royal (galano), 1670 E, NGC XF details / plugged, finest known in NGC census. S-P37b; KM-R26; Cal-666. 26.31 grams. Choice full details due even strike and contrastingly dark toning on fields, with expertly repaired hole to right of cross / about eight o'clock on pillars side (near a light old scrape), an apparent die-match with Lazaro 183 (whose pillars side is faintly doubled, making it hard to match up) with curiously small 0 in the date in the legend, technically finest in the NGC census in the absence of any "straight-graded" examples.
