China (People's Republic), gold 1/20 oz proof official Panda issue, 1987, Tokyo Coin Show, NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo ("top pop"). KM-XMB32; PAN-61A. Mintage: 25,000 (planned; actual and surviving unknown). One of four different 1987 gold Pandas released specifically for exhibitions (the others being San Francisco, New York and New Orleans). Note: NGC label and census attribute this as a "Sino-Japanese Friendship" issue in error, also calling it a MEDAL (as Anthony does) as opposed to OFFICIAL PANDA ISSUE. Pedigreed to the Gansu Collection of Chinese Panda Coinage.
